Kat and I went to the farm tonight.  She took inventory of everything in the house....everything.  She baged up 4 bags (55 gallon bags) of trash/stuff that we wont be needing.  The previous owners left quite a few household items that had no value to us.  She made a list of future furniture needs and prepared a list for me to finish next time i am there.

I fixed the tractor and finished the mowing around the house.

 Live and learn....loose bolt=constantly throwing cotter pins.   Also, trailer hitch cotter pins=broken again in 3 seconds.

We Closed!  The farm is ours.

I went down yesterday after closing.   My Goals were to mow and clean up around the house/barn.   I got some of that done.  The bush hog threw a cotter pin, so i stopped the tractor to replace it, when i did, the tractor wouldn't start....dead battery.   Since i didn't have jumper cables, the Tractor is still sitting in the field.

Kat and I will probably go back Sunday Evening, i hope to be able to jump it, fix the bush hog, and finish the job.

Went down today for some maintenance and fun.  TR just landed a new 4-wheeler and had fun breaking that in.  He checked all cameras, and moved two of them to watch over the gate.  TR also refilled the feeder.   The sweet gums we sprayed last time did not seem to be effected too much, but we will wait another few weeks to see what happens.  I took a spin on the John Deere for some mowing.

I took the chips from the cameras home to find only one decent buck.  Plenty of does, fawns, hogs and .....cows.  Mr McCalls cows crossed the river and paid the mineral site a visit.

New tractor tire...

had the flat tire on the tractor replaced on 7/1/2016.  My Brother Luke

was in town and we gave him a tour.
