The house is coming along great.  Roof is going on as we speak.  The two rooms upstairs are framed and have some sheet rock up.   Kat did a great job with the colors.   I am really impressed with the way it changes the look.

I spent alot of time clearing the cedars out and cleaning around the pear trees.   2 pears were dead, 2 were dying.  Hopefully they can recover.   Also limbed up the trees around the barn.  Looks much better now.  I will clean up after myself on the next trip.  Every fruit tree had a very well secured wire fence around it.  They are great for keeping deer out, and keeping weeds, vines and other trees in!  Very hard work getting the posts out.

Progress being made, both inside and outside.
Plot kill was mostly successful, i touched them up on friday.
 My little helper
Almost 2.5 inches, while great for the farm, its been tough on the roads.
Hooked up the old disk.....cotter pin on stabilizer bar was rusted out (and stuck inside the opening)

most cotter pins were nearly rusted through, hooked it up, and it did not work very well at all.
Looks to be in much better shape!
found this gem in the brush when spraying....

Worked great!

Also, refilled feeder, placed some corn on far side, and check all camera chips.

Back in the barn, ready for labor day.

To do list for today:
  1. Replace batteries on tractor
  2. Test bush hog strength on thick stuff
  3. Spray plots to kill everything
  4. Attempt to hook up disc
  5. Hang blue bird house
  6. Place rain gauge

Learning that work can be very slow going....i got the majority of the work done, but the alternator on the tractor is bad.   Chris changed the oil and removed the alternator...he will replace it tomorrow.  You should be able to see in the bottom picture, Chris and his nephew got started on the house.

finished cleaning out the house!   The previous owner left plenty of furniture for us to keep.  It seemed like a nice benefit.  Upon further inspection, nearly everything had to go.   So i emptied the entire house, took two loads to the dump and headed home.  I kept a bed frame and mattress set for the upstairs.

Once again the tractor battery died.  After towing it out of the barn i was unable to jump it.  Heading to get a new one this week.
